Snake Plant, Saint George's sword, mother-in-law's tongue, and viper's bowstring hemp

An extremely hard plant with stiff green striped leaves.  It grows up to three feet tall and spreads by rhizomes.  This plant has air cleaning capabilities by removing formaldehyde, xylene and trichloroethylene from the air.  It is mildly toxic to humans, dogs, and cats.

 - Bright indirect light, can tolerate direct morning light

- Best in well draining potting soil or cactus mix

- Water every one to two weeks.  Allow soil to dry out in between waterings

- Drought tolerant

- Native to West Africa
