A large, fast growing evergreen shrub with shiny dark green foliage that grows up to 20 feet high and spreads to about 20 feet wide. Small fragrant white flower clusters bloom in the spring. The leaves smell like apples. Best used as hedges or bank stabilization or erosion control. Best to prune as needed. If you prefer a tree like shrub you can prune or thin out the crown sprouts that frequently grow.
