Nodding Needle Grass

It can reach a height of up to three feet tall and one and two feet wide.  It is found in the valleys, mountains and coastal hills throughout California.  The root system can reach up to twenty feet deep below the soil.  It helps suppress invasive plants and helps support native oaks.
