A native gray-blue evergreen grass that spreads by rhizomes. One of the tallest California Native grasses. If watered regularly this grass can reach up to six feet tall and three feet wide. Cut the grass back to the ground in May or June. It is a warm season grower. This plant produces a pollen that can produce an allergic reaction.
