Festuca californica 'Serpentine Blue'

A perennial grass that is best used as a specimen plant or massed as a ground cover.  It grows up to three feet high and wide.  The loose clumps of blue-green to blue-grey foliage are topped in late spring by flower spikes emerging green, ageing to purple and maturing to deep yellow.  This is a great grass to plant under oaks.

Plant in full sun to part shade

- Tolerant of a wide variety of soil types

- Irrigate occasionally to infrequently
