Prostrate swam oak, Australia Native Pines

An adaptable prostrating shrub that grows flat on the ground and can spread up to eight feet wide.  This Casuarina will hug the ground, mold to rocks, or hang over a wall.  It has blue green needle like foliage.  Great for hanging baskets, containers, and a ground cover.  This plant is beneficial because it traps wind blow sand, retains moisture, and suppresses weeds.  The stems have been used to make chicken feed.
