Aspidistra elatior (Cast Iron Plant)

Cast Iron plant

A slow growing evergreen that can reach up to two feet tall and three feet wide.  This plant is part of the Liliaceae (lilies) family.   It has vertical green leaves that spread by rhizomes.  Purple flowers bloom in the spring.
