A slow growing tree that can reach a height of 100 feet tall.  White flowers bloom in the spring.  

Plant with: Coast Live Oak, Black Oak, California Bay Tree

- Plant in part shade

- Best in heavy soils

- Water once a month once established

- Hardy up to 10 degrees

- Attracts birds and butterflies

- Song Sparrow, flickers, grosbeaks, robins, thrushes, and waxwings, Black-headed Grosbeak and Band-tailed Pigeon eat the flowers, Band-tailed Pigeon eat the fruit

- Drought tolerant once established

- Fire resistant

- California Native
