'Moonshine' Yarrow

A perennial herb with yellow flower heads that bloom spring through summer.  It can grow up to one foot tall and spreads to one foot wide.  Easy to grow and spreads to fill in, give lots of room.  Divide in spring or fall and deadhead and cut back to promote continuous flowering and a tidy plant.  Leave any fresh fall foliage to overwinter.

A really great native to attract insects like hoverflies.  Hoverflie larvae eat aphids as their primary food source, they are so tiny that the naked eye cannot see them underneath leaves.  Adult hoverflies pollinate plants and feed mainly on nectar.

Plant in full sun to part shade

- Clay, loam, or sand texture dirt and requires good drainage

- Drought tolerant

- Heat tolerant

- Attracts butterflies

- Native to Europe
