Down To Earth’s Granular Humic Acids is a highly concentrated source of humic substances that is ideal for use on fields, turf and vegetable gardens. Carefully mined from one of the world’s richest deposits, DTE Granular Humic Acids is derived from the ancient remains of decomposed organic plant materials. Naturally occurring, unaltered oxidized lignite, DTE Granular Humic Acids are crushed, screened and graded to a particle size of 1-3mm.
Humic acids modify the physical structure of the soil which produces the following benefits:
- Increases nutrient uptake in plants
- Chelates harmful toxins in the soil, preventing them from entering the plant
- Improves soil structure and microbial growth

Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds:
To prepare new gardens, apply 1-2 lbs per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into the top 3″ of garden soil in spring or fall. For new transplants, add 1 tbsp per hole, mix into soil and water in well.
Containers:
For new plantings, add 1-2 tsp per gallon of soil and mix thoroughly OR add 1-2 lbs per cubic yard. For established plants, lightly mix 1-2 tsp per gallon into the soil surface every other month during the growing season.
