Sulphur Buckwheat
A species of wild buckwheat known as sulphurflower buckwheat that can reach up to seven feet high and five feet wide. This plant has yellow flowers with woolly leaves. Santa Cruz Island Buckwheat is easy to grow. It is endemic to the Channel Islands. Plant on dry, well drained shallow slopes or flats, and surround with plenty of mulch or rocks. Indigenous tribes used this plant for many medicinal uses.
Dead head in late summer/ early fall after flowers have run their course.
