A dense sprawling California Native that grows up to one and a half feet high by three feet wide. It spreads by rhizomes, creating a mat form. White flowers bloom in the summer and fall. It is winter deciduous and it’s best to trim back after blooming in the late fall.
it is not recommended to prune the plant until it is established, about two years. Once established cut back hard every winter after the plant is done blooming. It should be cut back to 2” stubs. If the plant is not pruned, new growth will emerge at the tips of existing stems.
