Parade bunching onion or scallion, is a vigorous variety with superb upright posture for easy harvest and cleaning. The flavor is mild and satisfying and the texture is firm. Parade has beautiful deep green leaves and an extra long white base. Scallions stalks (the white) have more of an onion punch and its firmer texture can withstand longer cooking times. The greens are more chive like and are typically added at the end of cooking or used fresh.
