Desert Penstemon

A fast growing perennial that grows up to three feet tall and wide.  Pink tubular flower clusters bloom in the spring through fall.  

Plant with: Manzanitas (Arctostaphylos sp.), Ceanothus sp.Brittlebush (Encelia sp.), Lupine (Lupinus sp.), California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica), Dudleya sp., and various cactus species

Plant in full sun 

- Best in well drained rocky, loamy, or clay soil

- Drought tolerant

- Deer resistant

- Attracts birds, bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds

- Hardy up to 0 degrees

- Native to Texas
