Desert Willow

A California native tree that can reach up to 26 feet tall and 20 feet wide.  They are fast growing trees or shrubs for sunny and hot areas.  It can be found in washes near riverbanks.  It is deciduous in winter.  
It is best to prune in the winter.  You can cut the bean like seed pods any time.

Purple, lavender, pink, and white flowers bloom in spring through fall.

Plant with: 

California Fan Palm, Blue Paloverde, Desert Ironwood, Brittlebush, Chuparosa, Desert Lavender
