Birch-leaf Mountain Mahogany

A shrub that grows up to twenty feet tall and twelve feet wide.  Yellow flowers bloom in the winter and spring.  Used as bank stabilization or in a narrow side yard.  You can coppice mature trees in the late fall as necessary.  You can thin out new growth if you want to see the gray bark in May or June.  Prune water sprouts from the trunk or the plant will look very dense.
