A winter deciduous perennial that grows up to one foot high and three feet wide. It has red flowers that bloom in the summer through winter.
it is not recommended to prune the plant until it is established, about two years. Once established cut back hard every winter after the plant is done blooming. It should be cut back to 2” stubs. If the plant is not pruned, new growth will emerge at the tips of existing stems.
