Prostrate Saltbush
Chumash - 'I'laq
4’ tall by 5-6’ wide. 
A fast growing ground cover.  It has yellow and brown flowers that bloom in the summer.  
Plant with:  native grasses such as Deer Grass (Muhlenbergia sp.), Arrow Weed (Pluchea sericea), Mesquite (Prosopis glandulosa or pubescens), Desert Thorn (Lycium sp.), Alkali Goldenbush (Isocoma acradenia), and willows (Salix sp.)

 

- Plant in full sun

- Best in sandy soil

- Water once a month after the first year

- Attracts butterflies and birds

- Hardy up to 15 degrees

- Native to California
