Cornus sericea, Red Osier Dogwood

Scientific Name: Cornus sericea

Common Name: Red Osier Dogwood

A shrub that can reach a height of up to twelve feet tall.  This shrub can grow pretty quickly and can be found in wetlands where the soil is damp.  It has white flowers that bloom in the spring through fall.  When the plant reaches about three feet tall it should start flowering.  It is winter deciduous.
