he leaves can be used like spinach that provides an abundance of calcium and iron. For greens, sow 1 inch apart and harvest entire plant at 6-8 inches tall. For grain production and enjoying selected leaves throughout the season. Blooms in late summer to autumn. 

- Plant in full sun

- Use a well-drained, loamy soil with added orgnaic matter. Keep weeded, but otherwise quinoa is drought tolerant and undemanding.
